The alloy does not perform in reducing, nitriding or carburizing atmospheres, but it does outperform most heat resistant stainless steels in these conditions. SS 310H Sheets is not recommended for frequent liquid quenching as it suffers from thermal shock. These coils have a melting point of 1402 °C (2555 °F) and 40% elongation. The SS 310H Plates have a tensile strength of Psi – 75000 , MPa – 515 and yield strength of Psi – 30000 , MPa – 205. Stainless Steel 310H Coils is used at temperatures up to 1150 Degree C in continuous service, and 1035 Degree C in intermittent service. They are widely used in moderately carburising atmospheres, as encountered in petrochemical environments.
