Energy Management Policy

OBJECTIVE

Stainless Steel Impex (hereinafter referred to as ‘Stainless Steel Impex’/’Company’) recognizes the urgent need towards Energy conservation through efficient utilization of various forms of energy in a cost-effective manner. This Energy Management policy shall help us to define, strategize, plan, and implement essential roadmap towards achieving innovative energy conservation & efficient practices.

PURPOSE

Stainless Steel Impex will strive to:

  • Promote use of energy efficient processes, equipment, device & system in the manufacturing of steel & continuously improve energy performance by reducing specific energy consumption year – on – year.
  • Maintain sound & efficient energy management system to continuously improve and raise performance bar.
  • Comply with all applicable local, national, and international legal regulations and other requirements related to energy efficiency, energy use and energy consumption.
  • Regularly review the EnMS (ISO 50001) to ensure the continual improvement and support the procurement of energy efficient products and services that impact energy performance.
  • Enhance research and innovation within our operations to optimize resource use, minimize energy consumption, and promote sustainability.
  • Support the design activities that consider energy performance improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with value chain partners to reduce energy consumption.
  • Actively communicate our approach and achievements to stakeholders, and engage with national and global policymakers to advocate for policies that support our energy reduction targets.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to fulfil our commitment to reducing energy consumption by ensuring availability of information and resources to meet the objectives & targets.
  • Encourage and influence our business partners, including suppliers, to adopt energy conservation practices, establish energy targets, and report on their annual performance.
  • Regularly review performance against the policy to ensure that energy management aligns with our objectives, and share updates throughout the organization and with stakeholders.

The Policy will be periodically reviewed and updated as required. Any amendments to the Policy would be undertaken with the approval from the Board of Directors.
