Aluminum 1050 Plates and Aluminum 1060 Plates

However, aluminum’s corrosion resistance only comes from its high strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to atmospheric corrosion. For aluminum to be suitable for use in car components, it must be treated with a specific treatment process and high-quality materials.
The purity of 1050 and 1060 aluminum is 99.5% and 99.6%, respectively. They have excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and reflectivity. The 1050 and 1060 series are widely used in many fields because they are characterized by moderate strength and low prices. The Aluminium 1050 Plates and 1060 aluminum plates are manufactured from pure aluminum with no additional technological features, making them easy to manufacture. However, due to their lower resistance, they may not be suitable for some applications.
It is not easy to distinguish between 1060 and 1050 aluminum. Both are industrial pure aluminum, but they are not the same; each has a different function.
Difference Between 1050 Aluminum Plates and 1060 Aluminum Plates
Although both are industrial pure aluminum, they are not the same; each has a different function. Aluminum sheet 1050 is used in many chemical and mechanical industries, such as food and beverage industries as well as electronic appliances. This aluminum alloy can also be used for industrial welding processes. The tensile strength of this material is 95 MPa (13.6 ksi).
Aluminum 1060 is a pure aluminum plate with excellent plasticity, corrosion resistance, and electrical conductivity, which can meet the requirements of low-current contact lines, internal decorative parts without anodizing, and chemical containers that don’t require strict corrosion resistance. It has high plasticity in non-heat treatment, medium strength, good corrosion resistance, weldability, and conductivity. The tensile strength of this alloy is 110~130 MPa (16~19 ksi).
As you can probably tell from the above properties, there is a great deal of difference between 1050 and 1060 aluminum in terms of their applications. However, both are produced similarly. The difference between their physical properties is due to the way they are treated during their manufacturing process.
